Over the weekend Star Wars star Mark Hamill stated that he’d be “out of work” after Episode 8, which sparked speculation as to what that might mean for Luke Skywalker’s cinematic future. Hamill has since taken to social media to clarify his statement, and as it turns out we needn’t have worried.

While it should be noted that this doesn’t necessarily mean that Skywalker won’t die in Episode 8, it’s probably best to heed Hamill’s hashtag advice and not overthink everything.

Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and Benicio del Toro, Star Wars: Episode 8 opens in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
